The Zimbabwe Schools Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) board has sent seven directors on forced leave to allow an audit of the examination system to ascertain what led to the leakage of the Ordinary Level 2017 November English Paper 2.

Speaking at a press conference in Harare today, ZIMSEC Board Chairperson, Professor Eddie Mwenje said the culprits have been apprehended and brought before the courts of the law.

The ZIMSEC board chair also apologised to the nation for the confusion created following the re-seating pronouncement, adding that they will stand by the High Court decision to have candidates assessed on Paper 1.

Meanwhile, the 2017 November Ordinary Level results are expected to be out on the 23rd of this month.
